Hi all,
After a long time, I started to continue my blog posts. Today I like to introduce a new topic that I thought when I had the Happy New Year online DJ Party which is organized by Shilpa Sayura Foundation. There I was actively participated and enjoyed with my little sister who is 6 years old.
So let's make a DJ party in Scratch!
- First, go to your account in Scratch and sign in.
- Then click "Create"
- Delete "Sprite1"
- The click the below button which is in the right side corner of the scratch project editor
- Choose some sprites(characters) for your DJ party. These are my characters for the DJ party. You can choose the characters you like for your one.
- You can make the size of your characters big or small as you wish! You can even change the direction of the sprites! Create your own imaginable DJ party on your way.
- Next we'll add a background for the project Click the below button which is on the right side corner of the page.
- After you clicked it, you can see thousands of backdrops, choose one which is suitable for a party or something you prefer. The below is the background I chose.
- Now click the button that you have clicked before to insert the characters and take all the necessary musical instruments , food and other items you need for a DJ party. Take as much as you want! These are what I took for my DJ party🥳🎉🥳🎉
- Now click "Costumes" and then you can change the costumes of your sprites whenever you like.
- Go to the Coding(Editing) area of the singer of the DJ party and go to "Events" and drag "when 🚩 clicked " to the Coding(Editing) area.
- Next, go to "Looks" and drag "Say Hello! for 2 seconds " to the Coding(Editing) area..
- Now if you don't have any downloaded songs I will show you how to download songs in your computer.
Now you know how to download songs. Next, I will show you how to insert songs to Scratch!
- Go to singer character and click "Sounds"
- Then click the button in red outlined square then find the song you want the singer to sing .
After that press "Open"
- Now, go to the code of the singer and go to "Control" and drag a "forever loop" into the Coding(Editing) area .
- Then go to the " Sound" section and drag "play sound _____________________ until done" to the Coding(Editing) area .
- Now we just need to add some finishing touches for the singer's codes.
- Go to the "Motion" section and drag "go to x __ y__ " and put it after "when 🚩 clicked" You need to put it so that your (character)singer stays in the same position when the flag is clicked.
- Now in parties, there are dancers so in this DJ party also there is a dancer. You can have many dancers if you want.
- Go to the dancer's Coding(Editing)area , now go to the "Events" section and drag "when 🚩 clicked" to the dancer's Coding(Editing)area.
- Now click "Costumes" which is in the up left corner and then if you got the same person as I did you will figure out there are lot of costumes.
- Go back to the Coding(Editing) area , then go to the "Control" section and drag the "Forever loop" to the Coding(Editing) area .
- Now, go to "Looks" and put "next costume " into the forever loop and then go to "Control" and put "wait 1 seconds" into the forever loop.
- For the last of dancer's code, go to the "Motion" section and drag "go to x __ y__ " and put it after "when 🚩 clicked"
- Now go to one of the instrument's code . I am going to Drumkit's code.
- Go to "Event" section and drag "when this sprite clicked" to the Coding(Editing) area.
- Go to "Sounds"
- Click the below button in scratch and choose the sound which is making from the instrument.
- After you have chosen the sound, go to the Coding(Editing) area.
- Then go to the "Sound" section and drag "play sound __________ until done" to the Coding(Editing) area.
- Now put "when 🚩 clicked " in drumkit's code and then drag "go to x __ y__ " which is in "Motion" section.
- You can do the same for the other instruments and choose the sound the same way I did for the Drumkit.
- Ex : The code I did for another instrument
- Now go to the microphone's Coding(Editing) area and Go to "Events" and drag "when 🚩 clicked " to the microphone's Coding(Editing) area .
- Go to "Motion" section and drag "go to x __ y__ " to the microphone's Coding(Editing) area .
- If you have any person just standing and watching the show , Go to that character (Sprite)'s coding area and go to "Events" section and drag "when 🚩 clicked " . After that go to "Motion" section and drag "go to x __ y__ " to the Coding(Editing) area .
That is the end of the coding. Now you have got your Scratch DJ Party!
Look below video to see what I made. Hope you enjoy😀🥳🎉
